For this graphic design project, I was asked to create a business card for Dott.ssa Alessia Santoro, a psychologist and psychotherapist specialized in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy.
Dott.ssa Alessia Santoro provides psychological support for a wide range of issues, including: Developmental disorders (Autism, Learning Disabilities, ADHD, Intellectual Disabilities), Anxiety disorders and panic attacks, Mood disorders (depression, persistent sadness), Eating disorders, Obsessive-compulsive disorders (OCD), Stress and difficulty managing emotions, Relational and communication difficulties, Self-esteem and insecurities, Behavioral and attention-related disorders, Parental support and guidance for teachers and educators.
The color palette for the business card focused on white, for contrast and clarity, and a water-green shade leaning toward blue, a color that conveys tranquility, stability, and harmony, in line with Dr. Santoro’s therapeutic approach.
The main element of the card, specifically requested by Dr. Santoro, is a knot on the front side that extends to the opposite side, ending in a flower. This symbolism perfectly represents the purpose of the therapist’s work: helping people untangle challenges such as insecurities, disorders, or psychological difficulties (the knot) and transform them into personal growth and well-being (the flower).
The project combines aesthetics and meaning, creating a business card that communicates professionalism, empathy, and the value of the therapeutic journey offered.
