Piano City Lecce is a widespread festival entirely dedicated to the piano, inspired by the format created by Berlin pianist Andreas Kern and hosted in some of Lecce’s most evocative squares and iconic landmarks.
For an entire weekend, the city becomes a vast urban stage, where music fills public spaces with concerts — often free of charge — set in historic venues or unexpected corners of the city. The event’s goal is to make classical music accessible to everyone, breaking down cultural and social barriers while promoting cultural exchange among citizens, visitors, and artists.
The festival is more than just a musical event: it is an opportunity to rediscover the city through its architecture, history, and creative spirit, strengthening Lecce’s cultural identity and projecting it onto the international stage.
During my internship at Colibrì Vision, I had the chance to take an active role in the Piano City Lecce project, a festival that blends music, art, and cultural identity in a truly unique setting. My contribution spanned the entire web development process: from designing the mockups and graphic structure to the final implementation using WordPress and Elementor, ensuring seamless integration between design and functionality.
Special care was given to the color palette, inspired by the warm tones of Lecce’s stone and the vibrant hues of the Baroque, symbolizing the dialogue between history and modernity. The interface was designed to be not only elegant and user-friendly, but also to embody the festival’s creative energy and the timeless sophistication of the piano, its central figure.
The final outcome is a website conceived as a digital tribute to the city of Lecce, capable of instantly conveying the festival’s unique atmosphere while strengthening its visual identity online. This project represented a valuable opportunity to grow professionally, applying both technical and creative skills in a real-world context while contributing to the promotion of a cultural event with international relevance.
